But what’s the problem with wire closet systems? In most cases, week plastic connectors are used to mount wire closet systems to the walls. In due time, plastic connectors, holding your best dresses and suits, will deteriorate. This design flaw causes closet catastrophes all the time.

Most closet system projects do require some touch up work. Wire closet systems often leave a lot of holes in walls. Therefore, a typical project involves minor spackling and paint touch up. If the closet catastrophe goes beyond minor repair, a sheetrock contractor and painting contractor will perfect the closet area.

Once the area is prepped and prepared, your new closet system is ready for installation. How does Empire Closet’s systems differ from cheaper wire closet systems?

The proof is in the products we use. Our closet systems are mounted on metal tracks. The tracks are anchored to the studs in your walls. Any vertical panels are mounted with additional butterfly anchors (rated at 100 pounds each) 2-3 inches from a stud. Once the system’s frame is assembled and leveled, we install 2 ½ inch decorative screws into each storage section (into studs only) for additional support.
